My name is Robyn and I'm a fully trained and experienced dog groomer. I have been training in the animal industry from the minute I finished school. I have worked in many different sectors, from Dairy Farms and Zoos to animal research. However, I have always been happiest when grooming.
I am City and Guilds qualified and hold a Degree in Animal Management. I also hold an Animal First Aid certificate. I pride myself in staying up to date with current grooming products and routines. Therefore, I'm often at seminars, picking up tips and tricks.
I started my own Grooming Parlour from home, called 'Short Bark and Sides' in 2016 and went off in search of a bigger premises when I started to outgrow the small space. I took over 'Scruffy Dogs' on January 1st 2018 and have never looked back! Since then I have had to move premises again (just around the corner) as I had once again outgrown my space.
I currently have two fur-babies; a soppy German Shepherd called Oscar. He is often at home and up to mischief. My second addition is little Blue, a Miniature Schnauzer I plan to teach agility to. She will be in the salon from time to time.
I am so lucky that I do a job that I love and I hope that this love passes on to your beloved pet.
In early 2020, Katt joined the salon. After working from home for over 8 years as 'Katts Dogs', she was excited to separate her home and work life once again.
Katt has trained with two champion groomers, Pete and Becky Ensell (members of Groom Team England) and completes her grooms to a very high standard. She specialises in scissoring breeds such as poodles and cockapoos, but can groom to any owners requests.
Katt recently rehomed a lovely lab x pointer called Patsy. You will often see her sleeping in the salon or looking for fuss.
